Product Description

The Tether Cable Thimble is used to secure the tether to a strong point on your ROV. The tether wraps around the thimble and is secured with several zip ties.

Why is that important? It allows any tension on the tether, including pulling it out of the water, to be carried directly into the ROV frame instead of though the cable penetrator or watertight enclosure. It also prevents twisting of the cable, which can loosen the cable penetrator. We recommend securing the tether to the frame in all situations and this is a great way to do it!

The thimble is designed for cables up to 3/8″ (9.5mm) diameter and the hole through the center is 1″ (25.4mm) diameter. The thimble is made of black nylon plastic.
